Plan Your Week with Plant Powered Metro NY

Brooklyn Jumpstart for Brooklyn's Black Community Leaders

Power your health this winter with our 21-Day Plant Powered Jumpstart, specially offered in mid-February for Black community leaders who live or work in Brooklyn. This health empowerment experience will help participants understand the connection between food and chronic disease -- including diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension -- and to get the support to take a bold step toward lifelong health.

Virtual kickoff event: Thursday, February 18, 6:30 PM

The 21 days run from Saturday, February 20 through Friday, March 12 with virtual educational sessions, culinary demonstrations, meal planning resources, peer mentorship, and group support.

PPMNY, SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, and our community partners are pleased to offer this jumpstart to eligible participants for free, thanks to sponsorship from VegFund, the Office of the Brooklyn Borough President, and A Well-Fed World, plus additional in-kind sponsorships from Chef Ramses Bravo, Forks Over Knives, and Gotham Greens.
